Another $1 Billion for New York Hospitals

I was able to help secure an additional $1.1 Billion for New York hospitals fighting COVID-19, with millions going to hospitals in underserved communities.

This funding was made possible by laws I worked to pass earlier this year. The funds will help doctors, nurses, hospital workers and administrators provide care in our communities. It will also help make sure frontline workers are given the support and equipment they need.

Mount Vernon Hospital, New Rochelle Hospital and St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers are all receiving millions of dollars from these funds.

Our communities have been hit extremely hard during this pandemic. I have successfully fought for additional funding for our health care facilities. On May 4, I co-led securing $5 billion for New York hospitals, and on April 8, I acted to obtain millions for our local Westchester and Bronx community health centers.

I will continue to act to secure more federal funding and resources to help keep people healthy and safe.
